Electrolux has been awarded with several accolades by the prestigious international Good Design Award.

The Australian’s Good Design Awards celebrates the game changers, the innovators and the pioneers and rewards the brilliant minds who believe our world can be better through design. The annual Good Design Awards is Australia’s most prestigious international Awards for design and innovation with a proud history dating back to 1958. It is recognised by the World Design Organization (WDO) as Australia’s peak international design endorsement program.

The Awards pay attention to what others take for granted, the finer details that makes a product different and meaningful. Good Design Australia features the best new products and services on the Australian market, excellence in architectural design, engineering, fashion, digital and communication design and reward emerging areas of design strategy, social impact and design entrepreneurship.

The Good Design Award for Best Domestic Appliance went to the Electrolux Kitchen Range. “Our Electrolux Design team is excited to be recognised by Good Design Australia. We have design centres all over the world, including here in Sydney, which allows us to combine global strength with local relevance,” Electrolux Sydney design manager, Monica Mazioun said.

“Our design philosophy, Human Touch, defines the way we approach designing across the globe – keeping our consumers’ needs central to our mission to ‘Shape Living for the Better’. This philosophy recognises and values the impact design has in people’s lives, understanding that design is not just about the object created but also about the experience and how it makes us feel, think and learn.” Monica Mazioun told during the awards ceremony.

The design centres in Sydney, Stockholm and Brazil have all embraced this approach, she said, when designing these award winning products and ranges. “We look forward to continuing design excellence and Shape Living for the Better.”

The Good Design Awards represent the diverse spectrum of design with 10 specific Design Disciplines, spanning 28 Categories. Through the annual Good Design Awards program, proudly showcase superior examples of good design to a national and international audience.
